Road to Osambre: A Daring Adventure in the High Country of Peru
John Ridgway, one of England's pioneering adventurers, chronicles his most daring expedition to date. Osambre is seven days' walk from the nearest road, in the middle of a dense jungle, 1,800 meters above sea level. A return journey into Peru's eastern Andes, initially intended as a visit to a remote friend's hacienda.
